Regarding the Desecration of Our Grandfather's Grave

Our grandfather, Milton Johnson Jr., passed away in April 2001. In the months and years that followed, as the isolation of our grandmother intensified and the legal battles multiplied, we also discovered that our grandfather's grave had been desecrated.

This page documents what occurred and the efforts we made to address it. As with every other aspect of this case, our attempts to seek accountability were met with indifference from local officials.

The desecration of a loved one's grave is not merely a legal matter — it is a profound violation of the dignity of the deceased and of the family members who grieve him. That it occurred in the context of a broader pattern of abuse and obstruction makes it all the more painful.

We have documentation of what occurred and of our attempts to seek redress. That documentation will be added to this page as time permits.
